  • Tutor in Pastoral Theology, Placement tutor
  • Tutor for Professional Development [Supervision]
  • Tutor for Handsworth Contextual Theology Project

I am a Methodist presbyter and committed ecumenist involved in the formation of pre-ordination students, probationer ministers and continued professional development of clergy of several denominations particulary Superintedents and Training Incumbents. I have an interest in Methodist ecclesiology and in the supervision and oversight of those in the early years of ministry.

I have lived and worked in Birmingham since 1986 when I came as a pre-ordination student to Queen’s College [ as it was then]. My relationship with the Queen’s Foundation is longlived but my interest in this community’s engagement with ecumenical relationships, all kinds of diversity, radical and contextual theology continues to be stimulated and to grow.

I have served as a circuit minister in 2 Birmingham Circuits.

I read a lot of novels and poetry and find as I do so I am doing theology.

I co-direct the Ministerial Formation Centre.
