Learning in Birmingham

Picture of Mission Centre students visit the Birmingham Bull in the newly developed Bull Ring shopping centre. Birmingham is a compact city, and within a few miles it is possible encounter the world on your doorstep. The city's large Black and Asian population and its multi-faith and multi-cultural make-up offer the most far reaching opportunities for engagement and encounter, dialogue and contact imaginable. It is the ideal place for a global mission centre to be situated and a whole range of language and culture groups to be found.

Birmingham offers a wonderful variety of church life which provides fantastic opportunities for placements and other activities. If someone needs to prepare for work in South India by learning Tamil or a minister in training needs exposure to Methodist Chinese congregations, that kind of encounter and exposure is on offer in Birmingham.

Plus, we are only a few hundred yards from the University of Birmingham, and all students are entitled to use its library and other facilities.
