Joshva is ordained in the Church of South India from the Tirunevel Diocese. He has served in a parish in Edinburgh, Scotland when he also gained his doctorate from the University of that city. Joshva is currently Associate Professor, Chairperson of the Department of The Gospel, Culture and Communication at the United Theological College in Bangalore.
Joshva edits the Journal for Christian Ministry and is a coordinator for an HIV/AIDS street theatre programme. Among his recent published works are:
