    Revd Van Lal Thuam Lian

    Van Lal Thuam Lian (Thuama) is from a small village called Segyi, in Kalaymyo, Sagaing.  He obtained his B.Th degree from Tahan Theological College in 2003, B.A (History) from Kalay University in 2006, and M.Div. from Myanmar Institute of Theology in 2009. He has been teaching theology at Tahan Institute of Theology, a theological college founded by the Upper Myanmar Methodist Church, since 2003.  Thuama counts it a great blessing to be 'at The Queen's Foundation studying theology with wonderful friends from different parts of the world'.

    Revd Sketer Riungu

    Sketer is from Kenya and an ordained Minister who has been serving with the Methodist church in Kenya for ten years in rural and urban areas. She was mostly involved in preaching, teaching and in women’s ministry which is her passion. She is married to Charles and has three boys: Jobjosiah, Emmanuel and  Godwil. In education, Sketer has a postgraduate diploma in community development and project management and a degree in Theology from Kenya Methodist university. She is now at Queen’s pursuing a  Masters in Theology and Transformative practice. Her hobbies are listening to gospel music, travelling and cooking.

    Father Shelton Daniel

    Shelton is an Anglican student from Sri Lanka. He is 37 years old and comes from a strong Anglican Tamil family background. He has three sisters and is the youngest in his family. His wife Rollen is a teacher at a Government School in Sri Lanka. He was brought up in a multi religious context with his first language being Tamil and English his third language.  He loves cricket and also visiting historical places. He has had a passion to serve since childhood and as a result was able to join the Church of England in Sri Lanka. Shelton completed his B.Th. studies at Theological college of Lanka, Pilimatalawa. He was ordained as a Deacon in 2007 and as a Priest in 2008 and has served in three different parishes including  ministering among Tea plantation workers in Sri Lanka. He hopes his study at Queen’s will help him to widen his horizons in the field of education and spirituality.

    Revd Chrisnel Lelievre

    Chrisnel is 53 years old and a married father of three children. After secondary school he studied law and accounting and in 1997 went to Jamaica to study Theology where he got a diploma in Ministerial studies at the United Theological College of the West Indies and a Degree (B.A.) in Arts and Education, option (Theology) at the University of the West Indies. Before starting his ministerial career he was principal of a Primary school and teacher of Christian Education  and at the same time was a local preacher and evangelist of the church.  In 2001 Chrisnel began his Ministry in Les Cayes Circuit, south of the country where he  spent 6 years and was ordained in November 2003. Afterwards he became superintendent of the Circuit. In 2007 he was stationed in Cap-Haitien Circuit where he spent 4 years. Since September 2011 he has been assigned to Jeremie and Circuit as Superintendent Minister. He serves more than 30 congregations in the area.

    Miss Nedine Manyemba

    Nedine Manyemba comes from Harare, Zimbabwe and is 24 years old. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy & religious studies from the University of Zimbabwe in 2014. Afterwards she did a short executive certificate course in monitoring and evaluation at the University. She recently began her one year study towards a Masters in Theology & Transformative practice at the Queen’s Foundation. Although she has only been here a short while she already feels at home 'because of the love and welcoming smiles around me'. She is looking forward to enjoying and being successful in her studies and also to enjoy the experience of being away from home.
