Admissions process - Anglican

Any enquiries about admission for potential ordinands should go to the Anglican Admissions tutor who will provide information and advice about the next stage. Candidates who have not yet approached their church regarding ordination should speak to their incumbent and Diocesan Director of Ordinands about this process. Open days are available throughout the year and provide an opportunity to find out more detailed information and have one-to-one meetings with key staff. Candidates will be asked to complete a form prior to attending the open day, containing details of potential sponsorship and educational background. Depending on the course the candidate would like to study, additional details may be requested to assist with the admissions process. After open day, if appropriate, offers will be issued that are conditional upon successful completion of the church sponsorship process. Confirmed final offers will be issued after the candidate's Bishop’s Advisory Panel has taken place and the NOAT (Notice of Acceptance for Training) has been agreed with the sponsoring diocese. After accepting a place at this stage, all candidates are offered a 14 day cooling off period to withdraw from this contract.

All confirmed candidates will be invited to an appropriate induction at which further registration details will be requested to comply with university and HESA data collection requirements. None of the details requested at this stage will affect the outcome of any offer previously made.
