For general information about ministry in the Church of England and the vocation process please consult the Church of England website.

Anyone who is already in conversation with their Diocesan Director of Ordinands (DDO) about ordination in the Church of England is welcome at one of our Anglican Open Days. We invite you to discover what the Queen’s Foundation can offer, through its diverse life and its wide range of educational and formational programmes. You can check out the variety of things that take place at Queen's in our welcome guide.

Everyone who attends an Open Day will have the opportunity to have a one-to-one meeting with a tutor to discuss options for their training.

Open Days during the Covid-19 crisis

Queen’s Open days are still going ahead - just a little differently! Our Open Days in April, May and June will be 'virtual' but they will still take place on the same dates and you will still be able to get a flavour of who we are and experience a warm welcome. Do enquire through the form at the bottom of this page as usual, and we'll get back to you. In the meantime, do take a virtual tour of our campus.

Open Day dates and timings

We are running Anglican Open Days on the following dates in 2019-20:

  • Tuesday 3rd March 2020
  • Tuesday 28th April 2020

The timings are usually as follows:

Please note that the you will need to attend for the whole of this time. (Timings do sometimes vary - we'll confirm the actual timings nearer the time if you book for an Open Day.)

If these dates are impossible for you, please contact Andrea Russell (who heads up our Anglican Admissions). Individual visits are usually possible, though you won't get the same 'feel' for the life of the college. Please be in touch if you are interested in further dates beyond those listed.

Two ways to attend

You can attend an Open Day as an enquirer, simply to find out more about what training at Queen's might look like for you; or, if you are already sure that Queen's is the right place for you, you can attend an Open Day as an applicant. If you attend as an applicant, we will ask you to complete an application form giving details of potential ordination sponsorship category, length of training anticipated, whether full-time or part-time, and your educational background. This will help us talk to you in more detail at the Open Day about the programme we can offer you.

If you would like to attend an Anglican Open Day (as either an enquirer or an applicant) please complete this form:
