Following the successful launch of the Racial Justice Empowerment Project, funded by the Church of England’s Racial Justice Fund, we are thrilled to announce that seven scholarships have been awarded for the MA in Theology and Transformative Practice, and ten bursaries have been granted for a Postgraduate Taster Course in Black Theology.
With the MA in Theology and Transformative Practice now in session, these scholars are engaging in a dynamic and empowering programme designed to equip them for leadership in theological education, ministry, and social justice advocacy. Rooted in Black and Womanist theological perspectives, the students will develop critical tools to challenge racism within theological education, the church, and society, while also shaping their own theological voices.

This initiative is supported by a collaborative and culturally engaged faculty within the Queen’s Centre for Black Theology led by Dr Dulcie Dixon McKenzie and the Centre for Research and Global Partnerships led by Dr Andrew Mein. Scholars benefit from the expertise of tutors dedicated to fostering contextual, liberationist and transformative theological education.
