We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our Professional Services team.

Role• To support the Campus Manager by ensuring that the Foundation is compliant with all relevant Health and Safety requirements
• To ensure that the Foundation’s properties and facilities are safe and well-maintained

Hours

full-time/part time (negotiable)
While normal hours are usually between 9am and 5pm, this post requires flexibility for evening and weekend working, and includes on-call responsibilities

Salary

Band 5 pay range: £24,285 - £29,619 (pro rata for part time)
New staff normally join at the beginning of the range

The right person will have strong experience in a similar role and have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, for a multi-use site which includes residential properties as well as kitchen with dining hall, offices and teaching spaces.

They will play a significant role in supervising (and develop as necessary) robust systems to ensure that the campus is a safe environment, providing services that are of a high standard, sustainable, and aligned to the Foundation’s priorities (including progress towards Net Zero).

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring value for money by applying effective cost controls and using good negotiation skills in procuring goods and services. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external providers will also be important.

This busy and varied role requires the ability to work efficiently and respond quickly to developing needs. The postholder will be a problem-solver with a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to deliver excellence in their work. They will be flexible, resilient, and resourceful, using their initiative to anticipate requirements and keep priorities under review.

Excellent IT skills and communication skills are important for this role.
