Post-doctoral Research Associate: Anti-Racist Theological Education

Applications are invited for a full-time 3-year post-doctoral research associate (PDRA) position at the Queen’s Foundation, in association with the Foundation’s project ‘Empowering UKME Theological Educators & Enabling Anti-Racist Practice in Theological Education’, funded by the Church of England’s Racial Justice Fund.

Brief Terms and Conditions of the Post

  • The salary for the post is £37,099 for candidates who have completed their PhD, or £32,982 for those who are about to complete their PhD (rising to £37,099 on completion)
  • Accommodation is sometimes available on the campus and may be able to be offered to a candidate who chooses to live on site at a reasonable, lower-than-market rate.
  • Free meals are provided during term-time when the dining room is open and provision will be made for attendance at a relevant annual conference relating to the successful candidate’s area of subject expertise.
  • A pension is offered to all employees (an employer contribution of 10% is paid for employees who opt in to the contributory scheme).

Interviews are expected to take place in person in Birmingham on 1st July, 2024. We hope to inform all those being called for interview by June 24th at the latest.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence will be required at interview.
