*** Library reopening Monday May 17th ***
The library will reopen to staff and students on Monday May 17th at 10 am. At this stage we are asking library patrons not to use the library for ‘study’ but just for browsing and borrowing. Full guidelines on the services available and the precautions in place are available on request.
The library will also reopen to registered external members with borrowing rights, but we regret that – in the light of the restrictions on ‘study’ – we are not yet able to welcome back our ‘readers’ (external members without borrowing rights). We also regret that we are not yet able to register new external members. This is because we have a backlog of new students to register to whom we are currently giving priority.
The library at Queen’s is one of the largest theological libraries in the West Midlands region. We have a stock of c. 50,000 books and 60 current journal subscriptions, plus access to over 500 journals online. Around 750 new books are added to the collection each year. The library supports undergraduate, postgraduate and research studies across the Foundation, and also has over 200 registered external members.
