Evening/Weekend Study (QRC)

Our evening/weekend mode of study is known as the Queen’s Regional Course (QRC). This is a part-time mode of study and is normally undertaken by those with daytime work or family commitments. Modules are delivered online in a live Zoom classroom on Tuesday evenings, with a face-to-face session on campus to begin each module. There are six residential weekends on campus throughout the year for further module study and fellowship. The final element is a residential study week which takes place during Holy Week or Easter Week.

For modules taught online on Tuesday evenings, CDT students join with Anglican students who are preparing for public ministry. Teaching weekends and the annual Easter study week are shared with students from our Centre for Black Theology (many of whom are embedded in the Pentecostal tradition) as well as Anglicans and Methodists preparing for public ministry. This means that at residential events, students are part of a diverse learning group, of often between 30 and 40 people. This enables a vibrant and stimulating environment for teaching, worship and community life.
