Queen’s offers two full-time non-residential, in-context pathways. Both pathways would expect a parish context commitment of 16-20 hours per week.
Our Track 1 in-context pathway involves the student being in Queen’s on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in term time with one residential week per year.
Our Track 2 in-context pathway involves the student:
• being available for Tuesday evening lectures (some of which may be onsite and others online)
• attending Tuesday afternoon seminars and tutorials, either onsite or online
• attending Queens’ for 6 residential weekends and two residential weeks each year.
Both are available as:
- a three-year BA full-time programme.
- a two-year DipHE full-time programme.
- a two-year BA (with Level 5 entry) full-time programme.
In addition, our Track 1 pathway is available at postgraduate level (a Postgraduate Diploma or MA).
Each pathway includes:
• An intensive week on Advanced Preaching.
• Participation in community meetings.
• Participation in cell groups.
• Working with cell group to prepare and lead college worship.
• Termly reflection with Parish Supervisor and Queen’s context-based tutor.
• Termly cohort reflection alongside Methodist context-based students and
Queen’s tutors.
• An additional placement within the training to another context or tradition.
