People often describe faith as a ‘journey’… but what does that actually mean!? Is there a destination? Are there particular routes to follow? What kind of maps, signposts, tools or guides might help us as we travel? To what extent is it a solo or communal venture? When it comes to Christianity, there appear to be many different individuals and groups that call themselves ‘Christian’ but who appear to be on slightly different paths. How are we to navigate these differences? How might we make sense of the different terrains we might find ourselves in?
In this course we will examine what it means to walk alongside and in the footsteps of others, thinking deeply about what it means to be a follower of Jesus and part of the church. We’ll spend time going down various theological, historical and practical avenues, exploring what it might look like to be communities of ‘The Way’.
